When Jaaved Jaaferi grooved to `Mausam Hai Gaane Ka` on Boogie Woogie

Javed Jaffrey is a common name in Indian households with his extensive presence on Indian TV and films. From comedian to dancer to voice over artist, the actor has played many roles over the years. `Takeshi Castle` from `Boogie Woogie`, Javed Jaffrey Reminiscent of 90s school days As he turns a year older today, we look at a video of him grooving to Bappi Lahiri’s song ‘Mausam Hai Gaane Ka’ on the OG dance reality show Boogie Woogie.

Who doesn’t remember boogie woogie? This is India’s first dance reality show. Jaffrey was one of the judges of the show. The show was directed by his brother Naved Jaffrey who was also a judge on the show. The first season of the series premiered in 1996 and ended in 1997. After a long hiatus of 5–6 years, the show was relaunched by Sony Entertainment Television for its second season in 2003. Following the end of season 2, Boogie Woogie briefly went off the air in 2006, before returning in a new incarnation in 2008.

Though the show has not gone on air at the moment, its memories are still fresh in the minds of the viewers. Around two years back, Javed shared a clip of him dancing to the song ‘Mausam Hai Gaane Ka’ from Mithun Chakraborty’s film ‘Suraksha’. This clip was from Mithun special episode.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he was last seen in the Netflix film `Jaadugar` web series `Escape Live` and `Never Kiss Your Best Friend Season 2`.
