Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Anubhav Singh Bassi recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his film, ‘Tu Jhootha Main Makkar’. Given that Ranbir and Shraddha are not promoting the film together, the two were seen arriving at the show separately and ensuring that only one of them is on stage at a time.
In the show, host Kapil Sharma revealed a funny incident that happened to him in Amsterdam. He revealed that he was in Amsterdam when Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Sanju’ released in 2018. He had to lie to the people in the theater to see the film.
Kapil said that he had bought the tickets in advance but reached the theater a little late as the movie halls in Amsterdam are far away from the city. It was a friend of the comedian who suggested coming in. Kapil revealed, “I had a picture of Ranbir, so I showed my picture to the security and lied that I am the producer of this film and came inside.”

‘Tu Jhootha Main Makkar’ is directed by Luv Ranjan. This is the first time Ranbir and Shraddha have worked together. The film also marks the acting debut of filmmaker Boney Kapoor who plays Ranbir Kapoorfather in the film. The film also features cameo appearances by Dimple Kapadia and Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha.
The songs released so far have touched the hearts of the audience. From ‘Pyaar Hota Kahin Baar’ to ‘Show Me The Thumka’ and Arijit Singh’s heartwarming song ‘O Bedardaya’, the audience is loving the music of the film.
The film has hit the theaters today. Reportedly, the advance bookings of the film have been strong and the initial reviews of the film have been positive. The opening of the film is expected to be around Rs 50 crore. 13-15 crores.
