Ishwak Singh And Jim Sarbh Gave us one of the most defining Indian shows of 2022 in Rocket Boys, reintroduced us to the genius of Vikram Sarabhai and Homi J Bhabha. From March 16, the team will return with the second season. Singh, who plays Sarabhai in SonyLIV’s offering, is well aware that a year is a quick turnaround time, and credits director Abhay Pannu for shooting the second version alongside the first. Abhay had already prepared the master plan for both the seasons. It helped shoot a major portion of the second season alongside the first season. The preparation was so intense that when we went back to the sets after almost a year to complete the season, I didn’t feel any kind of discomfort.”

The upcoming installment traces Bhabha, Sarabhai and APJ Abdul Kalam’s efforts to make India a nuclear power in the 70s. Singh is happy that it takes forward the simplicity of the show. “The characters have grown up, and are getting ready to do bigger things. At the same time, it remains a rooted story,” he explains.
