The caretaker Punjab government has said that the arrested PTI workers and leaders have been sent to different jails in the state for 30 days under the Public Maintenance Order.
PTI says it has launched “Jail Bharo Tehreek” over the violation of fundamental rights, misuse of the constitution and economic slowdown in the country.
The party has said that a few hundred PTI workers and leaders will appear for arrest every day from different cities until the movement succeeds in its objective.

Meanwhile, on PTI’s plea for ‘recovery’ of senior party leaders arrested in connection with ‘Jail Bharo Tehreek’, the Punjab government told the Lahore High Court (LHC) that they have been lodged in various jails across the country . province for 30 days.
