Digangana Suryavanshi: We had a Lohri sequence and ended up celebrating for real

‘Jalebi’ actress Digangana shares memories of Lohri with mid-day.com

She says, “I eat a lot of sweets and like to attend Lohri celebrations with my Punjabi friends, but we could not do so due to Covid. I am just hoping that this time I will be able to do better. One of my best memories on the sets was where we had a sequence of Lohri, which we celebrated in a real way. We ate popcorn, put peanuts in the fire, it’s a great atmosphere with everyone dancing. Initially, I used to think it was a bonfire and I gravitated with the whole idea like how happy people looked and danced around the bonfire, so I think it was a great way for people to enjoy and enjoy as a kid. There is a fascination, especially for dancing. My mother has already made sweets for Lohri, and most of the time she is personally involved, it is not like that normal cooking where she is just giving instructions. My mother believes that festivals bring the family together and I think it is in my genes as well. You should celebrate every festival as much as you can because it is about family spirit, it is about bringing people together.”
