The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported on Wednesday that an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale occurred 263 km south-southeast of China’s Hotan.
Hotan is a major oasis city in southwestern Xinjiang, an autonomous region in western China.
The USGS reported that the earthquake occurred at 02:32:21 (UTC+05:30) and had a depth of 17 km in Hotan, China, on Wednesday.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 35.053°N and 81.395°E respectively.
No casualty has been reported so far.
